E-mail Print PDF

IMPORTANT INFORMATION from Roxanne M. Gonzales, Ed.D., CPS Academic Dean:

As you know Regis University and the College for Professional Studies is transitioning to a new Learning Management System (LMS).  The new LMS is from Desire2Learn (D2L).  Our Regis platform LMS will retain the name WorldClass for the new LMS. A D2L Implementation Team has been created and been working on developing specific plans related to our transition to D2L.  The team consists of faculty from each CPS school as well as representatives from the Learning Design Department, Marketing and the Dean’s Office.  The team members are listed below.

•    Greg Wells (Instructional Designer – Learning Design) – Chair
•    Alex Benedict (Sr. e-Learning Technologist - Learning Design)
•    Denise Copeland (Administrative Coordinator – Learning Design)
•    Joyce Johnson (LMS System Admin – Learning Design)
•    Carl Kinney (Interim Associate Dean – Learning Design)
•    Nancy Birkenheuer (Faculty – SCIS)
•    Denise Duncan (Faculty – SCIS)
•    Nancy Crise (Faculty – SEC)
•    Carole Hruskocy (Faculty – SEC)
•    Catherine Kielty (Faculty – SEC)
•    Linda Lange (Faculty – SOM)
•    Ron Neufeld (Faculty – SOM)
•    Janet Rumfelt (Faculty – SHSS)
•    Jim Ponzi (Faculty – SHSS)
•    Kathy Rank (CPS Marketing)
•    Jamison Wise (CPS Marketing)
•    Marie Friedemann (Associate Dean)

If you have questions, issues you would like to have addressed, or general comments please work through your school representative.  Your school representative should be providing everyone with regular updates.  The team meets on a bi-weekly basis and needs your feedback and input.

The team will be delivering program plan recommendations to the CPS Deans during the week of August 29.   These recommended plans will address the following areas:

•    Pilot Phase Plan
•    Training Plan
•    Communication Plan
•    Quality Assurance Plan
•    Migration Plan

Additional communication regarding D2L migration and training will for forthcoming from the Dean’s office as well as from the D2L Implementation Team. Check out recent D2L updates found under the WorldClass tab.

It is an exciting time for CPS and opportunity to revisit our model for online/blended learning!

Thanks to everyone for taking on this major task for CPS.
