Mission Statement

The College for Professional Studies offers innovative, accelerated higher education for adult learners to meet their academic, professional and personal goals.

Inspired by the Regis University Mission which focuses on the common good, we motivate and challenge a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff to:

  • Think skillfully, logically, and critically
  • Search for truth, values, and a just existence
  • Gain knowledge and abilities necessary for distinguished professional work and leadership in service to others.

School of Computer and Information Sciences

The School of Computer and Information Sciences will be world-renowned as a forward-thinking school that prepares competent computing professionals to be influential within the discipline and to become active contributors to the improvement and transformation of global society.

School of Education and Counseling

Overarching Vision

The Education and Counseling divisions of the School of Education and Counseling share a vision to develop accomplished, compassionate educators and counselors who seek to transform the landscape of their disciplines with a fresh focus on academic rigor, passionate learning and building a more socially just and humane world.

Education Vision

All Education students will complete their programs able to demonstrate both the proficiences of accomplished teaching and additional capability in a 21st Century Education are of focus.

Counseling Vision

The vision of the Graduate Counseling Department involves a commitment to the Regis Mission, to educate counseling professionals who are grounded in the awareness and cultivation of their intrinsic values and the understanding of how to mobilize those values in the service of community.

School of Management

The School of Management will be the preferred provider of applied, market relevant education for adult learners, nationally recognized for preparing competent leaders to be influential in the global community.  Inspired by the Ignatian rigor for education, the School will be known for quality and innovative approaches to learning. 

School of Humanites and Social Sciences

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences will be recognized for interdisciplinary, learner-centered education that readies students for professional, ethical, local, and global leadership.

Department of Learning Design

CPS Department of Learning Design will be internationally known for innovative learning design that provides students with opportunities to actively engage with faculty, with content, with each other, and with divergent cultures of practice in their discipline to build expertise and deep knowledge in their content area, so that they can continue to grow in knowledge throughout their lives.

Passport to Course Development

The Passport to Course Development is an online resource for faculty engaged in curriculum design and course development for all formats. A passport theme represents various destinations in the course development journey. Intended as an upbeat presentation, “just in time and just enough,” this site is an exemplar of integrating graphics, audio, multimedia, and technology to make learning fun and engaging.
