Regis University and the College for Professional Studies is transitioning to a new Learning Management System (LMS) from Desire2Learn (D2L).  Our Regis platform LMS will retain the name WorldClass for the new LMS. A D2L Implementation Team has been created and been working on developing specific plans related to our transition to D2L.

Question:  When does D2L go fully live?

D2L will be fully implemented and go live in the Summer Eight Week 2 Term (2012).

 

Question: Are there any plans for running a Pilot Program for D2L faculty and learners?

Yes, CPS is planning on running two Pilot Phases.  Each Pilot Phase will consist of two courses from each CPS school for a total of eight courses.  These pilot courses will be offered in D2L and facilitated by faculty.  The two pilot phase schedules are provided below.

· D2L Pilot Phase 1:  Fall Eight Week 2 Term (2011)

· D2L Pilot Phase 2:  Spring Eight Week 2 Term (2012)

 

Question: What are some key new features of D2L?

1). Fully implemented grade book.

2). Integrated Turnitin

3). Fully implemented assignment dropbox capabilities
